Sputum Interleukin-32 in childhood asthma: correlation with IL-1β
نویسندگان
چکیده
_Background:_ Asthma is an airway disorder where inflammatory cytokines are partly responsible for exacerbating the disease. Interleukin (IL)-32, generally referred to as natural killer cell (NK4) transcript 4, described immunoregulator involved in stimulation of anti-/pro-inflammatory cytokines. The abnormal presence IL-32 has been observed during diseases, particularly asthma. This study aims characterize process patients with severe _Methods:_ and IL-1β levels supernatant induced sputum obtained from 59 asthma (mild: 20 patients; moderate: severe: 19 patients) were measured using ELISA. Sputum mRNA expression was by RT- PCR. _Results:_ significantly elevated at protein (_p= 0.00019_) (_p < 0.0001_) asthmatics compared non-asthmatic controls. asthmatic mild-moderate Severe allergic house dust mites expressed higher level than without allergy = 0.0001_). A significant association found between (r =0.531_; p 0.0159_) In same way, correlated 0.476; _p 0.0337_). _Conclusion:_ may be associated severity.

MODULATION OF INTERLEUKIN-1Β (IL-1Β ), TUMOR NECROSIS FACTOR–Α (TNF-Α) AND INTERLEUKIN-10 (IL-10 ) GENES EXPRESSION FOLLOWING CONCURRENT TRAINING IN WOMEN WITH TYPE2 DIABETES
Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of concurrent training on pre-inflammatory (IL-1β, TNF-α) and anti-inflammatory (IL-10) cytokines gene expression in women with type2 diabetes. Methods: 18-patients (age30-38, >130 glycemic index) were selected, randomly, and divided into control (n=6) the concurrent training(diabetes, n=6) and the concurrent training (healthy...
متن کاملInduced sputum in childhood asthma.
Asthma is characterised by variable degrees of airway obstruction, airway hyper-responsiveness, and chronic airway inflammation. Current guidelines emphasise that inhaled corticosteroid treatment is the mainstay of asthma therapy because it targets the underlying airway inflammation. It is prudent to use the lowest possible dose of inhaled corticosteroid compatible with good asthma control. In ...
متن کاملIL-23 Gene and Protein Expression in Childhood Asthma
Background: Asthma is the chronic inflammation of airways characterized by eosinophilic infiltration, mucus overproduction, airway hyper-responsiveness and airway remodeling. These changes are induced mostly by cytokines which are produced by T helper (Th) 2 cells. Recently, the role of interleukin-23 (IL-23) in the pathogenesis of adultallergic asthma has been studied. Objective: To explore IL...
متن کاملIL-6 and IL-13 in induced sputum of COPD and asthma patients: correlation with respiratory tests.
BACKGROUND IL-6 is strongly implicated in the development of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). IL-13 is the well-documented central mediator in allergic asthma. IL-6 is attributed to the proinflammatory activities in COPD as well as asthma. In COPD patients exacerbation is increased by serum IL-6. The association of IL-13 as well as IL-6 with the impaired respiratory function of ast...
متن کاملHepatitis C virus induces interleukin-1β (IL-1β)/IL-18 in circulatory and resident liver macrophages.
Hepatitis C virus (HCV)-mediated chronic liver disease is a global health problem, and inflammation is believed to be an important player in disease pathogenesis. HCV infection often leads to severe fibrosis/cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma, although the mechanisms for advancement of disease are not fully understood. The proinflammatory cytokines interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and IL-18 have crit...
